Columbia River Gorge
Carved by volcanic eruptions, lava flows and the massive ice-age Missoula Floods, the Columbia Gorge stretches some 85 miles along the border of Oregon and Washington state. It possesses over 80 named waterfalls cascading down cliffs that can soar as high as 4,000’ above the Columbia River that flows westward toward the Pacific Ocean. An incredible array of wildlife and flora finds its home in the Gorge, presenting a seemingly boundless bounty to be appreciated and photographed. This gallery attempts to present a portion of this abundance. .
